National Football League players are some of the most finely tuned athletes in the world. But it’s important to remember that fitness isn’t only for professional athletes, and both to help make the next generation of youth the most active and healthy.
In October 2007, the NFL launched NFL PLAY 60, a national youth health and fitness campaign designed to tackle childhood obesity and focused on increasing the wellness of young fans by encouraging them to be active for at least 60 minutes a day.
As part of that commitment the Redskins have developed a structured series of health and wellness events that makes a direct impact in the Washington, D.C.-area community.
Our players, coaches, executives and I routinely participate in events aimed at encouraging the youth to exercise for at least 60 minutes a day, and we encourage you to join all of the Washington Redskins in our commitment and effort to maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.
